if i could tell you a million things about me now, where would i start? would it be the mindless gatherings held over festive seasons, the incessant nagging of empty wallets, the solo streaming of movies and dramas that make me cry over and over, or the friendlessness after the fun? does it matter if i told you one after the other, as if rearranging the alphabet would bring about change. like it wouldn't make a difference if you told me you were gay. if i could win you over, is there a prize? (and you said the GST hike could curb you, if only you earned more.) you tell me so little about yourself and shroud yourself in so much. am i supposed to stay nonchalant or pry under the bed to find you hugging your evil twisted self? would i shriek or join you in that mangy doghouse? i don't know what to make of you and i never could. you leave me with my own devices and i place them carefully on the shelf, careful not to break them, waiting to see if they would grow legs and disappear into the moonlight. would you call, if i told you i've been waiting all this while, yearning for a mindless striptease, spurring you on to touch me over - the privates and all - and over. is sin so painful to bear, that we have to leave someone crucified and to let that memory torture us? must we pray to (/ for) our own morals, and have faith in what we think we own, to relive everlasting nothingness, not to own.
