9.25.2006 hady mirza - an undeserving winner, really. i can't describe it, but the aftermath of jonathan losing is taking a toll. something about him reminds me of yanzi. although, clearly an over-enthusiastic, sort-of-manic, smile-like-i'm-an-idiot kind of yanzi. i guess i'm complaining so much because it's singaporean mentality, seeing that this year we were presented a choice, as to none last year (think taufik v. sly). but that doesn't qualify that i agree to who the top 2 were this year. we gave up a hot songstress with humongous potential and an indian diva for a repeat of last year's finals, FOR WHAT? not that the production for this year's finale was comparable to last year's: i didn't understand why they had to keep interviewing ken lim exclusively throughout the show (imho, ja was way more entertaining this season). neither did i comprehend why we needed cheerleading teams for the finalists; this is a singing competition, not some rowdy football match, thankyouverymuch. we also do not invite guest performers just to sing with hady and jonathan. urgh- god save me. and lastly, what in the world is Energy doing at the Singapore Idol results show? i was cringing till the end. anyway, we have a conclusion to the show; but if there's a next Singapore Idol, and he is [censored due to racial sensitivities], we all know what's wrong i guess. hmmmm. 22:39 / and blackened tears fell with mine // |
