9.03.2006![]() after falling in love with the teriyaki bento and baoxin's matcha icecream at MOF (which she claimed was too bitter), i've decided to indulge in japanese snacks. all above were purchased at a stall stationed at basement 2 of takashimaya. and i absolutely have to recommend the matcha cake. yumyum. ![]() i've always wanted to get this ever since Straits Times reviewed it in their weekly Urban newsletter. and seeing that there was only one box left when i was browsing around, i snatched it from the rack and rushed to the cashier. 6 pieces for $5.20. and it was certainly no disappointment. the rich aroma of matcha wafted out with the crinkling of the packet as soon as i opened it. the cake had a very well-rounded taste, which would appeal to people like baoxin who can't stand pure matcha (which is inherently bitter). the cake crumbles in your mouth, melting into a delectable delight of matcha heaven. mmmm :) by demand, photos from kbox are not posted on this blog but are on flickr anyway :D 17:25 / and blackened tears fell with mine // |
