time is a dangerous thing. when you have time, you start to think. and once you have thoughts, it just gets fucking dangerous.

this is a good example. for this.

not like he did anything wrong anyway. it's just a pity for him we live in singapore. and therefore, the probability that i would get charged in court for what will appear shortly. but oh well.

someone apparently said that "He offers no alternatives or solutions. His piece is calculated to encourage cynicism and despondency, which can only make things worse, not better, for those he professes to sympathise with." but isn't finding an answer to problems what we pay the ministers to do? well, if we had the clout and smarts to come up with a solution we would probably earn at least half as much as they do, wouldn't we?

if there is time to craft out a professional and politically correct reply to a column, why not spend it on reducing poverty instead? bleah. [link]

anyway, i figured (yes, after a long long while) why we are, and continue to be, treated like shit in the army. because any complaints we make would be dealt with as insubordination and we can't quit to save our lives as our souls have been sold to the gahmen the day our ancestors lay foot on this island. that's how sad reality is.

and when the regulars AWOL or moonlight everybody notices and can't do anything about it. you would think someone would be decent enough to correct this inefficiency. but no, everyone's self-centered enough to protect their own kind (read: civil servants) and mislook this obvious draining of resources.

fuck scarcity. (you might remember that as a term in 'A' level Economics)

and for all the altruism in the world, why won't paul twohill's fans just shut up. either the mediacorp studios and their recording techniques really suck (and playback screaming and shouting louder than the singing), or singaporeans have utterly no sense of respect to the performer they're supporting, which is sad, considering how very much we want to be a regional performing arts hub.

PS. i swear i saw nick kiss daniel v on today's episode of project runway because chloe obviously excused herself to let them have a quiet moment to themselves. sweeeet! haha :D
