1.29.2006 as i returned home bloated from a reunion dinner at my unc's place, i opened the mailbox to find a letter addressed to me. i imagined i received my first and only chinese new year card of the year until i unfolded the article to find this:  (and with it came the exact amount stated above) -_-"' the extent some people would go to return borrowed money before the new year... which unfortunately also reminds me that woonkeat also owes me the same amount for zhiyong's present. and happy chinese new year anyway. if it wasn't for the extra holidays added to the year to make my medic spec course less painful to endure, i would have denounced chinese new year long ago. i don't want to roam the nation visiting houses i visit once a year and meeting people i pretend to know. tradition can sometimes be nerve-wrecking; it makes no sense guarding tradition so much you lose track of reality. everyone's so caught up with preparing and celebrating the new year they overlook where love should go. 00:05 / and blackened tears fell with mine // |
