9.18.2005 midautumn's day was spent doing nothing midautumn-ish. no mooncakes. no lanterns. none of the aged memories being reinvented in a new time- i love it this way :) // after duty, and an hour long of depressing RT cover, i was reluctantly pulled to attend a wedding lunch. and you people should know that i absolutely DISLIKE any proper event concerning the marriage of a male and a female. because somehow or another i will be asked when my time is going to come and this time it was no exception. particularly because the girl getting married was a hwachong alumnus of age 21. and now i'm doomed to the common misconception that we all should, and will, get married. and it was no help that i was reading the family way by tony parsons to pass time. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() this is the book that preaches the goodness in having a child, no matter single or divorced. mr parsons was so good, for a moment, i was almost convinced. how much can you give up for the person you love, and still keep loving them? this is a story of a broken family, breaking and coming together and then breaking again, but in some way or another, ends up being the most perfect family ever. we see people giving up so much to have a baby, but then give up because of the baby. once you have used up your store of love, you can live without anyone i'm amazed by the way tony parsons deals with delicate issues like pregnancy and love with such sensitivity that through the book, i can only imagine a female author writing this book. the research done is incredible. which is why his audiences (eg. me) love his books- they're all so faithfully real. if we were always afraid of being hurt and humiliated, we would never love anyone 21:58 / and blackened tears fell with mine // |
